BioCop Consumer Workshop
Location: TBC
Local Host: The BioCop Project
Email: [email protected] Website: www.biocop.org
The Consumer Workshops will provide a forum for discussion of the projects' developments and their application between scientists - seeking to advance these novel techniques, and consumers' organisation representatives - seeking to ensure better food safety for
consumers. Consumers' need for reassurance about food safety will be central - their concerns about, for example, multiple residues and contaminants in foods, the cocktail effects of food contaminants and residues, are being taken seriously and addressed by developments in this project.Consumers' needs and views should be acknowledged and assimilated into the European research agenda; the consumer workshop will initiate this dialogue, which will be ongoing throughout the project.
