BioCop are pleased to announce their next workshop will take place on 'Analysis of estrogenic endocrine disruptors in food: state-of-the-art and future trends - From specific spectrometric approaches to emerging global transcriptomic approaches'' organised in the frame of the BioCop project (EU, 6th FP, IP)/Cascade (EU, 6th FP, NoEx) by the School for Advanced Residue Analysis in Food (SARAF) (9th - 11th December 2008)
This three day event will take place at the Ecole Nationale Veterinaire de Nantes (ENVN), Nantes, France and will include sessions on the following:
*Introduction to Endocrine Disruption *Classical physico-chemical methods of analysis for EDC: the spectrometric approach *Emerging biological methods of analysis for EDC: the transcriptomic approach
Presentations by Bruno Le Bizec, Chris Elliott, Bernard Jegou, Niels Skakkebaek, Alessandra Roncaglioni, Frederique Courant, Jean-Philippe Antignac, Hanspeter Naegeli, Hans Gmander, Priscilla Bowens and Thomas Ellinger.

BioCop are pleased to announce that their next workshop 'Demonstration of New Techniques in Mycotoxin Analysis' will take place on the 27th March 2009. The workshop will take place in the frame of the CRL-NRL-workshop for mycotoxins (Community and National Reference Laboratories) at the Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements (IRMM), one of the seven institutes of the Joint Research Centre (JRC), a Directorate-General of the European Commission (EC).
Participants will receive the opportunity to undertake training on the new techniques developed.
Partners involved are the Joint Research Centre (JRC), Institute of Chemical Technology (VSCHT), Universita Degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata (URTV) and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM)
