Qualifications, previous experience and role within the BioCop project:
Within the BioCop project, our aim is to find suitable biomarkers in bovine serum to detect the abuse of anabolic compounds used for growth promotion e.g. in cattle. These biomarkers will be used to develop high-throughput assays utilizing biosensors suitable to screen animals while they are at the farm or at the abattoir.
 
My role in the project:
analytical support in finding potential protein biomarkers in serum
statistical evaluation of results through multivariate analysis
development and validation of biosensor methods to screen sera for biomarker profiles
A completed training at a University of Professional Education in analytical or medical chemistry;
 
Previous experience:
Experience with bio analytical techniques related to proteomic research; and multivariate statistics;

I worked one year with the ELISA experiments and molecular techniques worked. For this project I need these experiences for development and validation.
