Ms Susan MacDonald
Position: Senior Scientific Officer (Band 5) / Project Leader

Qualifications, previous experience and role within the BioCop project:

BSc (Hons), Food Science – University of Strathclyde (1990) 

Ms MacDonald is an experienced mycotoxin analyst and project leader (16 years +), and a member of CEN TC 275/WG5 Biotoxins.

Ms MacDonald has over 25 publications in mycotoxins and natural products, mostly related to developing or validating analytical methods, and has been involved in many European funded RTD projects, participating as a main partner in SMT CT-98-2228 (Production of ZON Reference Material) and G6RD-CT-2002-00853 (DONCALIBRANT). 
She has carried out training as an invited expert on behalf of the IAEA, and co-ordinated and delivered 3 training courses in mycotoxins for EU DGTrade to representatives from developing countries. 

Deputy work package Leader WP10 (Mycotoxins); provide advice on development of extraction protocols; participation in test material characterisation and participation in validation studies for developed tests.
