Biocop forms an important link with the FP6 project 'MoniQA'

MoniQA Project

BioCop forms an important link with MoniQA, an FP6 Network of Excellence (NoE) project, aimed at harmonisation of analytical methods for monitoring and controlling quality and safety in the food supply chain.

The project consists of 33 partners from 20 countries. The network members will investigate mechanisms to co-ordinate and merge research activities, personnel and infrastructure to achieve synergetic effects.

The project is divided into ten work packages, including the following;

* Co-ordinating and merging research infrastructure

* Personnel exchange and mobility

* Achieving network sustainability

* Harmonisation and Standardisation of
Analytical Methods

* Advanced processes and ICT technologies

* Development of database for food safety hazards

* Socio-economical impact and cost efficiency
