Roland W. Frei Poster Award

IAEAC (International Association of Environmental Analytical Chemistry) held its 23rd LC/MS symposium in Montreux, Switzerland on November 8-10th 2006.
With an exciting Scientific program of 32 oral lectures and 157 posters the symposium attracted 460 participants from 27 countries all over the world.
Specialized strategies using immuno_directed identification of small molecules using surface plasmon resonance biointeraction chips, was presented as a poster and attracted the committees attention of the “Roland Frei poster award for young scientist”
The award for the best poster, and scientific contribution by a young scientist was given to Gerardo Marchesini from the RIKILT institute, NL, and was presented by the President of the IAEAC, Prof. Dieter Klockow.
Gerardo Marchesini also a member of the BioCop project demonstrated an in depth knowledge of the topic, and presented the poster excellently.
Michel W.F.Nielen, BioCop partner from the RIKILT-Institute of Food Safety, Wageningen, Netherlands, presented ''Immunoaffinity-Directed Identification of Small Molecules Using a Surface Plasmon Resonance Biointeraction Chip Coupled with Nanospray Liquid Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry''
BioCop would like to congratulate Gerardo on his Award.
