Call for Sponsorship for the BioCop Fellowship Scheme

This is a unique opportunity for you to promote your organisation and contribute to the current global scale of Gender Mainstreaming to promote women's participation in science.

Acknowledgement of your support and company corporate logo will be displayed on the home page of the BioCop Website; https://www.biocop.org// with a link to the sponsors website. It will also feature on all BioCop Communication documents including the front/back cover of the second edition of project brochures/sleeves, letterheads, newsletters, E-Newsletters, and Posters.  All marketing material will be disseminated along with the aims, objectives, and findings of the BioCop project to our database of stakeholders, interested media and consumer press.

2500 copies of the first series of brochures were prepared and distributed to stakeholders, and copies of the brochures were further downloaded from the BioCop website link; https://www.biocop.org/publications.html The BioCop website receives up to 63,000 hits per month and the Women in BioCop page is the most visited area of the website.

The company’s name will be publicised as a sponsor at any expected media coverage, BioCop will also promote the sponsor through PR activities, such as conferences, seminars and meetings with the use of display boards and exhibition stands.

What is the BioCop fellowship Scheme
The BioCop Fellowship Scheme was announced in 2005 and was founded by the BioCop consortium to allow BioCop’s women researches to apply for an opportunity to spend up to two weeks at an institution or research centre of their choice for a study visit or a research related activity.
This is an annual event with the aim to raise scientific awareness of female researches and promote women’s participation in Science.

Winner of the BioCop Fellowship Scheme 2006
The 2006 Fellowship was awarded to Dr. Hasna Mohammadi of the Università di Roma Tor Vergata, Dipartmento di Scienze e Tecnologie Chemiche, Italy. Dr, Mohammadi spent two weeks at the University of Coimbra, Portugal.

BioCop Fellowship Scheme 2007
The 2007 BioCop Fellowship scheme is now open for applications, all women researches working on the BioCop project are warmly welcome to apply.

Deadline for applications: 31st March 2007. Applications will be reviewed by the BioCop Management Group and successful candidates will be contacted.
