ICC 1st Latin American Conference - ''Cereals and Cereal Products: Quality and Safety-New Challenges of World Demand�

On behalf of the Organising and Scientific Committees, ICC would like to invite scientists and students from Research Institutes, Universities, as well as breeders, millers, product developers, bakers and manufacturers of cereal based products, retailers, economists, laboratory personnel and administrators in the agro-food sector to the 1st Latin American ICC International Conference �Cereals and Cereal Products: Quality and Safety-New Challenges of World Demand�, due to take place in Rosario, Argentina, September 23rd-26th, 2007. This event is organized with the support of the International Association of Cereals Science and Technology (ICC), National Institute of Technology for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (INTA), The Secretariat of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Food (SAGPyA) and The Bolsa de Comercio de Rosario.
The ICC would like to welcome all of you and hope that you will enjoy the scientific programme which includes:
* Breeding and cereal quality genetic
* Advances in cereal quality prediction
* Safety of cereal products
* End use quality and international markets
* New evaluation technologies
* Cereals´ health benefits and new trends in cereal products.
In addition to wheat, special emphasis will also be placed on maize, oat, barley, and traditional cereals of the Andes which have a growing interest for foreign export markets as nutritional complements, such as Quinoa and Amaranth.

Abstract Submission
Abstracts must be received no later than the 10th July 2007.
The following guidelines must be followed:
* Written in English
* A4 paper
* No more than 450 words with a top and bottom margins of 3.5 cm, left, 2.5 cm and a right, 2.0 cm.
* Font type: Times New Roman
* Font size: 11 points.
Text must include objective, methodology, results, conclusions and 3-5 keywords at the beginning of the text, left justified.
You may give no more than 2-3 important references at the end of the text.

Call for Manuscripts
Conference participants can report research results in one of the following formats:
1) manuscript for an oral presentation
2) manuscript for a poster
To be included into the Conference Proceedings CD, manuscripts should be submitted no later than August 10th 2007.
Length: Manuscripts, including all tables, graphics, and references, should not exceed ten pages for Plenary Session and Keynote presentations, five pages for oral presentations and two pages for posters.
